PROP 1: Amend Behavioral Health Services (March 2024)

While Prop 1 has good intentions of improving access to mental healthcare in our state, there is concern that if this measure were to pass, more people may be subject to involuntary detention and forced treatment. However, this bill would create much needed funding for mental health resources that our state severely lacks. Because of these conflicting aspects of the measure, we have decided not to take a position on Prop 1. We encourage you to look at other trusted voter guides to seek recommendations for how to vote on Prop 1.
