PROP C: Remove tax on office buildings converted to homes (March 2024)

SAN FRANCISCO LOCAL MEASURE

Proposition C would exempt (free) properties from paying a real estate transfer tax the first time commercial property is converted to residential use. It would also give the City the power to make changes to this transfer tax without voter approval and increase the amount of office space that can be developed into homes.

We are urging a NO vote on Prop C because real estate developers should not be free from paying taxes on properties they convert. Vote NO on Prop C.
