Our city commissions were fought for by generations of activists. Everyday people deserve a way to hold our city accountable to the essential services that our communities depend on. Mayor Lurie and his allies are attempting to take away our voices from participating in direct democracy by making it easier for them to dismantle essential commissions in the name of “efficiency”. 

At SFRAF, we value accountability and transparency and this measure is a step backwards for government oversight. We must protect our democratic processes.

Propuesta A: Cambios a la Carta que afectan a varios departamentos de la ciudad y comisiones

Nuestras comisiones municipales fueron defendidas por generaciones de activistas. La gente merece una manera de exigirle cuentas a nuestra ciudad sobre los servicios esenciales de los que dependen nuestras comunidades. El alcalde Lurie y sus aliados están intentando arrebatarnos nuestras voces para que no podamos participar en la democracia directa facilitándoles el desmantelamiento de comisiones esenciales en nombre de la “eficiencia.”

En SFRAF valoramos la rendición de cuentas y la transparencia, y esta medida representa un retroceso en la supervisión gubernamental. Debemos proteger nuestros procesos democráticos.

Comisiones principales afectadas:

• Servicios para personas con discapacidad y personas mayores
• Servicios humanos
• Nuestra ciudad, nuestro hogar

Panukala A: Mga Pagbabago sa Charter Change na Nakakaapekto sa Iba’t-ibang Departamento at kalupunan ng Lungsod

Ang commission ng ating lungsod ay ipinaglaban ng mga nauna at kasalukuyang henerasyon ng mga aktibista. Ang mga pangkaraniwang mamamayan ay nararapat at naghahanap ng paraan upang panagutin ang ating lungsod sa mga mahahalagang serbisyong inaasahan ng ating mga komunidad. Sinusubukan ni Mayor Lurie at ng kanyang mga kaalyado na alisin ang ating karapatan na sumama at ipaabot ang ating tinig sa direktang demokrasya, para maging madali para sa kanila na buwagin ang mga mahahalagang serbisyo at pinapalabas na ito pinaka “maganda”.

Sa SFRAF, pinahahalagahan namin ang pananagutan at malinaw na panukala, subalit ang panukalang ito ay isang hakbang paurong sa pangangasiwa ng gobyerno. Dapat nating protektahan ang ating demokratikong proseso.

我们市的各个委员会是几代社运活动家奋斗争取得来的。一般民众理应有办法就我
们社区仰赖的必要服务向我们的市政府问责。罗伟市长和盟友正试图以“提高效率”
为名，通过放宽让他们解散关键委员会的门槛，来剥夺我们参与直接民主的发言机
会。我们三藩市升起行动基金 （SFRAF）重视问责和透明度，而本提案对监督政府而
言是一项倒退。我们必须捍卫我们的民主程序。

受影响的主要委员会:

• 残疾和老龄服务
• 社会服务
• “我們的城市、我們的家園”

本提案得到了罗伟市长、威善高（Scott Wiener）州参议员等人的支持。
