PROP F: CHANGES TO EXECUTIVE BRANCH MANAGEMENT

NO ON PROP D, E, AND F! Prop D wants to take power away from the people by making it harder to put measures on the ballot, Prop E consolidates the power to sign contracts and vendors into the hands of the City Administrator, and Prop F strengthens the executive branch, allowing the Mayor to hire and fire any department heads or city commissioners. 

San Francisco has one of the powerful Mayors in the country, but it’s not enough for this current Mayoral administration. Prop F will give the Mayor even more power to single-handedly hire and fire department heads and city commissioners. This is not only a waste of resources, but also paves the way for Mayor Lurie to hire his billionaire friends to further their agenda. Prop F takes power away from our elected Board of Supervisors and puts it in the hands of a single person, silencing our opinions on who leads this city.

If this measure passes it would change the entire composition of the executive branch and make it harder for everyday people to hold government officials accountable.

Propuesta F: Cambios en la Administración del Poder Ejecutivo

¡NO a las Propuestas D, E y F! La Propuesta D busca quitarle poder a la gente al dificultar la inclusión de medidas en la boleta electoral, la Propuesta E concentra el poder de firmar contratos y designar proveedores en manos del Administrador de la Ciudad, y la Propuesta F fortalece el poder ejecutivo, permitiendo que el alcalde contrate y despida a cualquier jefe de departamento o comisionado de la ciudad.

San Francisco cuenta con uno de los alcaldes más poderosos del país, pero esto no es suficiente para la actual administración municipal. La Propuesta F le otorgará al alcalde aún más poder para contratar y despedir unilateralmente a jefes de departamento y comisionados municipales. Esto no solo representa un despilfarro de recursos, sino que también le abre la puerta al alcalde Lurie para contratar a sus amigos multimillonarios y así impulsar sus propios intereses. La Propuesta F le quita poder a nuestra Junta de Supervisores electa y lo pone en manos de una sola persona, silenciando nuestras opiniones sobre quién dirige esta ciudad.

Si se aprueba esta medida, cambiaría por completo la composición del poder ejecutivo y dificultará que la gente exija responsabilidades a los funcionarios gubernamentales.

Panukala F: Mga Pagbabago sa Pamamahala ng Executive Branch Management

Ang San Francisco ay may isa sa pinakamakapangyarihang Mayor sa bansa, ngunit tila hindi pa ito sapat para sa kasalukuyang administrasyon ng Mayor. Bibigyan ng Prop F ang Mayor ng higit pang kapangyarihan na mag-isa na lamang magtalaga at magtanggal ng mga pinuno ng departamento at mga city commissioner. Hindi lamang ito pag-aaksaya ng mga resources, kundi maaari rin nitong bigyang-daan si Mayor Lurie na magtalaga ng kanyang mga kaibigang bilyonaryo upang isulong ang kanilang mga agenda. Inaalis ng Prop F ang kapangyarihan mula sa ating nahalal na Board of Supervisors at inililipat ito sa kamay ng isang tao lamang, na naglilimita sa ating boses tungkol sa kung sino ang mamumuno sa lungsod na ito. 

Kung maipapasa ang panukalang ito, mababago nito ang buong komposisyon ng sangay ng executive at magiging mas mahirap para sa mga ordinaryong mamamayan na panagutin ang mga opisyal ng gobyerno.
